Awwwww.....

I just read a comment that my husband wrote about me and I wanted to cry;) You know, I've had my ups and downs but when it comes down to the come down I love my life so much and wouldn't change it for anything. I'm asking all of my prayer warriors to pray for a few things:

1) I will be able to stay home soon
2) I will be able to have the will to lose this weight
3) All the sickness in my body will go away

-Ra I want you to know that you are so great and you have and will always be the apple in my eye. I love and appreciate you the same way as I did the first day we got together. You are a great wife, mother and partner in the ministry. It's good to see you dream again. Hey I love you girl. I believe in you. You have been able to work, have children, work in the church and aggravate the greatness in me just enough. Now the same hope you have given away so freely in me and others you shall receive now. I believe you see who people are when they are uncomfortable. We have seen the real you. You have stayed faithful in church and in marriage. It's been tough but you kept holding on. I am proud to have you as my wife. You make my heart smile. -

Little people.....they're smarter than what we give them credit for

Children are so amazing.....About two months ago I was telling SaVonni that you're not supposed to talk on the cell phone when your driving because it can distract you as well as get you a ticket. LaMarque is usually the one that does it because he's always checking his "Crackberry"(sorry, I hate those things) while he's driving so usually SaVonni is saying "Daddy, don't talk on the phone while your driving you might put us in danger". She never says anything to me because I rarely use the phone while driving. Last night I was searching for my cell phone before we left the house and the conversation went like this:

S: "Mom, I put your cell phone in MY purse so you won't be tempted to use it"
R: "Ok, honey but what if I need to call somebody?"
S: "I can call daddy for you and if we have an emergency, I'll call 9-1-1" (she has LaMarque's # memorized by heart, she calls him like 20 times a day ;) hillarious)
R: "OK"
S: "Mommy, I don't want you to get a ticket or go to jail or get in an accident. I love you, daddy, LJ and JoJo way too much"
R: "OK honey"
S: "Who else is more important that you would need to talk to"
R: "You're right baby, you can keep my cell phone in your purse"
S: "I love you mommy"

What a blessing to have my children in our lives. In the midst of daily routines, busy schedules they remain the same and remind me of my priorities.

Losing Weight

I've been struggling with my weight for awhile now. When I was pregnant with SaVonni I gained 85 lbs. Then had LJ 17 months later. I was starting to lose weight for awhile but then got pregnant with Joseph. It's been really hard for me because I've always been at a size that I loved. I don't like taking pictures because I don't like looking at myself, we only have two family pictures since 2003. My excuse has always been "I'm so busy with work, kids, husband, church and everything else I don't have time to eat better or to exercise". Well - I'm over it. I'm tired of being fat. I started a lifestyle change this week. This is my fourth day and I've been doing great. I feel so much better already. I've been eating way better (no more cookies, cake and chocolate). Everynight after work I've taken the kids for a walk. I really feel a big difference (and it's only been 4 days). So I'm asking all of you to help encourage me and ask me how I'm doing. I don't like telling anyone how much I way but here goes.....211 lbs. My goal is 150 or so. I will keep everyone updated on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Wish me luck!!
